Disruptive Technology | Digital and Physical Modeling

Taking a typical architectural detail, such as a curved rib vault, and using simple transformations (mirroring, duplicating, and rotating), I created a 3x3 cube that was later transformed into three separate, yet related versions of a disrupted vault. The methods utilized to bring the sculptural model to life were waffle laser cutting, CNC milling, and 3d printing.

Thick House | Mixed-use

As part of an exploration in what new ideas and projects can be brought to life using our existing surroundings, the 3D-printed model from Disruptive Technologies was used as the basis for designing a mixed-use “thick house” project located in downtown Cincinnati. Program includes a 2-story lounge and dining facility, outdoor and rooftop lounge areas, and three floors of residential units.
